They finally have a second chance, but are they willing to take it?
Georgiana Reginald was once engaged and ultimately by her father’s wishes forced to break her suitor’s heart. Now, years later, she finds herself facing possible spinsterhood, and wondering where it all went wrong.
When her closest friend invites her to Bath, Georgiana never dreams that she’ll run into her old suitor again. Captain Trentworth has come up in the world; he now has a distinguished career, an inheritance, and a good income from the war. Just like all those years ago, he and Georgiana are drawn to each other.
Although Captain Trentworth finds he is not the only suitor after Georgiana’s hand, he has not entirely forgiven Georgiana for how she ended their engagement all those years ago. Will frustrations and bitterness tear them apart? Or will they be able to take advantage of this second chance?
Inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion, but with a slight twist of events until a Happy Ever After
“A Love Worth Saving” is a clean and sweet historical regency romance novel of approximately 65,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
(I received an ARC of this book for review.)
This was my first book by Fanny Finch to read and I was not disappointed!! Georgiana and Captain Trentworth get a second chance at love! They were very obviously meant to be together! First they had to get through obstacles from overcoming hurt, anger, loneliness, lies, and social status to see the truth for themselves! When your heart is truly set on someone and you believe that they are meant for you, after all the years of seperation, then you will do anything you can to make the truth known! From the very beginning, I was drawn into the story and found myself going through the emotions that Georgiana went through and wanting to scold Captain Trentworth over his pride! I was to glad that they found their way back to one another in the end! A very good read!!
